We Champion Human Rights and Sustainable Growth Across Ghana.

Who We Are

What happens when vulnerable communities in Ghana are left to face poverty, injustice, and human rights violations alone?

Too many people remain excluded from opportunities, denied protection, and trapped in cycles of inequality despite promises of development.

Rural Initiatives for Self-Empowerment (Rise Ghana) exists to change this reality by defending fundamental freedoms and delivering sustainable, community-driven solutions that empower every Ghanaian to live with dignity and lasting prosperity.

What We Do

The HEARD Initiative

We empower vulnerable women and youth in Northern Ghana with the advocacy skills and strategic planning tools needed to actively participate in governance and secure essential funding for their communities.

We strengthen safety in hard-to-reach communities by training locals to identify and report signs of violent extremism, fostering a resilient society that actively counters security threats.

We help enhance local governance and health service delivery by equipping unit committees and citizens with the tools to create evidence-based policy recommendations that directly reflect community needs.

We provide at-risk youth with practical business skills and small ruminant rearing expertise, creating sustainable economic opportunities that build financial independence and social cohesion.
